In its Construction Services Division, client has an opportunity for an experienced Safety Construction Manager for its national/multiple plant operations/locations. The successful degreed candidate, traveling to the companies various locations, will be responsible for construction safety.


• Inspects and oversees the safe construction of work processes to insure that procedures and materials used comply with plans and specifications.
• Verifies levels, rigging, alinements and elevations of installations.
• Observes work in progress to insure that safe procedures are followed.
• Examines workmanship of installations for conformity to safe procedures and specifications.
• Coordinates/conducts accident investigations, with attention to the identification of causes and effective corrective actions. Works with Federal MSHA inspectors as required.
• Creates/coordinates/conducts safety awareness programs/campaigns using proper training/coaching/mentoring techniques at all levels with management and site construction personnel.
• Prepares/presents required corporate safety reports of all inspections and work activities.
• Other duties as assigned.


• Bachelor degree in Occupational Safety, IH or related equivalent degree with experience in a solid background of mine construction safety, MSHA regulations/compliance and at least three years of practical safety experience.
• Strong leadership/coaching skills; possess the ability to lead by example, manage, mentor and coach; have a proven track record for creating employee ownership of safety and environmental compliance
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain good relationships with company and regulatory personnel.
• Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends and nights, travel between several locations as required.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGERFranklin, TN.$83K-$100KClient is a national industrial mineral/aggregate heavy plant construction/operator firm. Reporting to the Corporate Environmental Director, the Environmental Manager will be based in Franklin TN area, overseeing the Company’s multiple plant locations ranging from the Carolinas to Texas to Wisconsin including their manufacturing plant in Missouri. Travel could be in the 50-75% range.


• Client is highly desirous of locating an environmental professional coming directly out of the mining, mineral and/or aggregates industries.
• Knowledge of EPA and State specific Air Quality regulations that are required for typical sand mining operations including applicable regulations for Dry Plant fluid bed dryers, bag houses and other dry processes.
• Knowledge of all applicable Air Quality emission control standards and site specific emission control BMP’s including, unpaved road and paved road, drilling and blasting, storage piles, and dry plant operations BMP’s.
• Knowledge of site specific Storm Water Management Plans and the application of site specific BMP’s used to control sediment loading in outfalls. Familiarity with sampling protocols and analysis of applicable laboratory results.
• Knowledge of Hazardous waste collection regulations, proper manifesting/record keeping requirements and the ability to perform quarterly site specific field and paper work audits on the site specific management of various waste streams, including oils and grease, batteries and light ballasts.
• Provide Quarterly SPCC Audits of separate sites. Provide training as it relates to proper fueling and spill response to New Hires and Contractors. Provide Annual SPCC refresher training to all site personnel.
• Ability to conduct site specific Environmental Risk Assessments on an as needed basis. Ability to provide written recommendations of any adverse findings.
• Ability to maintain relationships with existing Environmental Consultants currently used, State/Federal Regulators, and the ability to select additional Environmental Consultants.
• Knowledge of groundwater monitoring protocols and applicable State and Federal groundwater standards.
• Knowledge of Mine Safety & Health Operational procedures and Mine Safety Standards.
• Knowledge of Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessment ASTM Protocols and the ability to interpret Phase 1 and Phase 2 results.
• Knowledge of RCRA, CERCLA, and SARA contaminated soil clean-up standards, and the ability to interpret analytical results as they pertain to these standards. Ability to recommend cost effective clean-up and disposal options from petroleum contaminated soil.

BS in Environmental Science/Engineering is highly preferred. Applicable and equivalent experience base may also be considered. Five (5) plus years’ experience is required.

Plant Manager (3)Odessa, TX. area$100K-$175K +Bonus 20% & Company HousingResponsible for the management of all aspects of a 2.4 million TPY sand operation. Lead and manage all safety efforts at the plant as well as site planning, pit development, quality control and maintenance function. Supervise a workforce of approximately 100 employees. Ensure compliance with company mandated safety and environmental policies, programs and guidelines as well as regulatory compliance. Lead management team and group of employees and provide strong leadership, training, team building and supervision. Manage all mine planning, operational, financial, safety, environmental, personnel, and community relations duties at the mine in accordance with company programs, policies, and guidelines as well as government agencies including MSHA and the EPA.


Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (preferably Mining or Civil) or equivalent experience

Minimum of five years of plant management experience, preferably in the mining industry managing in a non-union environment

Experience with Statistical Process Control is a plus

Working knowledge and understanding of MSHA regulations and possess a strong personal commitment to safety

Solid understanding of operation and maintenance of aggregate and sand processing equipment

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and capable of developing and maintaining good relationships with company and regulatory agency personnel

Operations ManagerMonahans, TX.$100K-$130K + Bonus -20%Coordinates milling production and maintenance priorities. Assists to enhance the existing Total Safety Culture Program and Environmental guidelines to ensure employee safety and health. Assists with management of the departmental budget and controlling costs. Monitors plant performance, identifies/troubleshoots deficiencies or failures and makes recommendations for improvement. Supervise and direct the hourly work force in their daily activities. Coordinate Operations with the Maintenance Department on all equipment including manpower, supplies, and scheduling to ensure low operating cost and downtime. Communicate closely with the Quarry Mining Department to ensure cost effective operation of processes. Maintain records to ensure effective scheduling of operations. BS Degree in Metallurgy/Mineral Processing preferred. 5-10 years (minimum) of prior supervisory experience in union environment preferred. 5-10 years (minimum) of prior sand operations experience preferred.

Supervises and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in the production of various frac sand products by wet or dry finishing processes. Reviews laboratory test results to resolve problems affecting grade and purity of products. Trains workers in the operation of the plant equipment. Works as a team with maintenance/quality/safety personnel to insure the proper work environment and culture. Demonstrates a strong ability to train, lead, coach, and mentor employees.

Experience in mineral processing, maintenance, computer, communication and people skills are required. An engineering degree or related is preferred. Bilingual in Spanish and experience in a MSHA work site is a plus. The exact position (Supervisor or Foreman) ultimately offered will depend on experience (1+ years for the Foreman and 3+ years for the supervisor) and their education.
